Order vegetable patch in autumn

August is the time for daily harvesting in the vegetable patch; however, many vegetables can still be sown or planted now. In addition, there are numerous maintenance tasks to be done: Shading, watering, mounding, loosening the soil and mulching or providing the autumn and winter vegetables with sufficient fertilizer.

July is the right time to cultivate the kitchen garden once again, so that fresh vegetables and such for storage can be harvested continuously until the fall and into the winter. It is also better for the soil to be constantly rooted and shaded, immediately reusing the gaps in the bed created by harvesting.
