Bouquets of peonies hardly need accessories, because the magnificent flowers usually look best on their own. May and June is the main flowering period, when you can also cut flowers for the vase.

Roses planted in October still form new roots this year - before the ground freezes through. Therefore, they sprout next spring stronger than roses that are planted only then, go into the new garden season more vital and bloom about ten days earlier.

In order for roses to remain healthy and vigorous and for the remontant varieties to show good post-blooming in the fall, they now need a strong top-up fertilization after the first flush of flowers in June.
