This scarf is a so-called Sophie Scarf. The term refers to a small, lightweight scarf, almost like a neckerchief, which, with its minimalist yet elegant appearance, goes well with coats, blazers and knitted sweaters and "enhances" even simple everyday looks with a flick of the wrist. Stapf manufactures the narrow scarf with the characteristic tapered ends from pure, warming new wool. As you would expect, it is knitted in one piece in garter stitch, a technique in which all stitches in every row are knitted in the right side, creating an even wavy structure.

Stapf is a Tyrolean specialist for knitted and fulling jackets made of wool. Founded in 1958 by Richard Stapf in Wörgl, the company is now run by Kathrin and Sebastian Proft. Both have the ambition to create garments that can accompany their wearers for many years. The basis for this is not only the well thought-out cuts, which blend traditional and modern elements, but also the fabrics, which are knitted and milled in Wörgl. The garments are made up in partner companies within Europe.
