General Information

Small but mighty!

This so-called Sophie Scarf is made of pure, warm wool. The term refers to a small, lightweight scarf—almost a neckerchief—with tapered ends. It is typically knitted in garter stitch, a technique in which every stitch in every row is knit, creating a uniform, elastic wavy texture. Thanks to its shape and the properties of the material and knitting style, it ties easily. With its minimalist yet elegant look, it pairs well with coats, blazers, and knit sweaters, and instantly “elevates” even simple everyday outfits.

Weberei Hohenberger. Innovation and tradition since 1884

Manufaktur Hohenberger stands for fine woven scarves made of virgin wool and cashmere as well as blankets. Located in Hof in Upper Franconia - in the heart of one of Germany's most important textile regions - the family business has been run by Thomas Hohenberger and Sabine Weidner-Dietel since 1993. With the expertise handed down from their predecessors, the two are breaking new ground, while at the same time remaining true to tradition and keeping up with the times. The company has been based at the same location since 1890, and production is still partly in Germany and partly in Italy. No wonder, because Hohenberger attaches great importance to treating the art of weaving as a personally learned craft - a craft that is mastered by the employees.
