This slim, light and fluffy soft scarf is just ten centimetres wide and a good 1.60 meters long. It wraps delicately around the neck, keeps you warm and still doesn't take up much space when you need to take it off and stow it in your bag. A good half of the knitted fabric consists of warming wool, the rest is alpaca, one of the most valuable natural fibers of all, which is exceptionally fine and has outstanding thermal insulation properties. The scarf with its colorful pattern of contrasting block stripes is knitted smoothly, with fine rib-knit cuffs at the ends.

The work of fashion label Lanius is influenced by three factors: first, a style characterised by sophisticated designs and forms, secondly the use of certified raw materials and thirdly the guarantee that all garments have been produced under fair working conditions. Depending on the garment, one factor may get centre stage, but the other factors don’t move out of the focus – however, importance is always attached to outstanding quality both in terms of materials and finish. The label was founded in 1999 by Claudia Lanius, who works on all her ideas and designs in her Cologne studio; she has them developed by her team and then assembled by producers in several countries.
