Mulch under berry bushes and on tree discs

Once harvested currants and raspberries, the bushes should be thinned. This maintains the vitality and health of the plants and leads to good exposure of the ripening fruit next summer. It is also easier to harvest bushes that have been regularly thinned out.

To prevent so-called trickling (the shedding of flowers as a natural reaction to unfavorable conditions) in spring when berry bushes are in bloom, water during prolonged drought and keep the soil evenly moist.

Many diseases in the orchard, if detected early, can be controlled without the use of pesticides and their spread in the garden can be prevented.
