We know: Not every modern fruit variety is worse than an old one, and not every old variety is good per se. However, when the quality of a variety is measured in terms of transportability, storability or uniformity of the fruit, we prefer to apply criteria such as taste, variety and suitability for self-sufficiency. Here you will find an assortment of old, tasty and proven fruit varieties, some of which are real rarities, but also varieties that used to be widespread and are well known to connoisseurs.
