General Information
Decorative Magic
Its seven spots bring good luck—because seven is a magical number, and that’s why optimists appreciate the seven-spot ladybug all the more. But its other natural counterparts as well—whether they have two or 24 spots on their elytra—are extremely useful allies to all gardeners: a ladybug can devour thousands of aphids over the course of its life.
Our hand-felted trio won’t help you with gardening, but—if you believe in it—with three seven-spotted ladybugs, you’re practically halfway to hitting the jackpot. Even in the long run, fortune may remain on your side, for these little good-luck charms are felted from pure New Zealand virgin wool and can thus consistently conjure up good luck—and, more importantly, confidence. If, on the other hand, you’re a more rational person who doesn’t believe in luck and chance but rather in cause and effect: Whether hung from branches, scattered across a festive table, or used as gift decorations, the bright red seven-spotted ladybugs add a decorative splash of color to your arrangements—and even when dangling from a rearview mirror or keychain, they exude a charming appeal.
Fairly combined. Gry & Sif
During her backpacking trip through Nepal, the Dane Gry Staunstrup was immediately captivated by the openness and warmth of the people - and by their high level of craftsmanship. She was able to observe in detail how skillfully and skilfully Nepalese women felted wool into Objekten. The idea of using this skill and combining Nepalese craftsmanship with Danish design was quickly born. And the idea was immediately followed by action.
Since 2000, the company Gry & Sif has been producing a wide range of products from wool felt in Nepal. The designs supplied by Gry Staunstrup are in typical Danish design, as striking as they are discreet and at the same time carefree and cheerful; the production is carried out by Nepalese women using traditional craftsmanship. Now Fair Trade certified, Gry & Sif stands for fair wages, good working conditions and transparency. Only pure new wool from New Zealand sheep is used for the felt products - each of which is unique and handmade.
Note:
Certain manufacturing steps are carried out by hand. Slight dimensional and color deviations may therefore occur.
