Lanius presents an unusual alternative to the scarf with this separate shawl collar. It keeps the neck warm without being overly bulky, does not have long scarf ends and can be quickly taken off again if required - for example in warm indoor areas. A good half of the soft knitted fabric is made from warming virgin wool from certified organic animal husbandry, while the rest is skin-friendly, certified organic cotton. As it is worked in a patented knit, the shawl collar not only keeps you warm, it is also breathable. It looks equally good over a sweater and under a jacket.

The work of fashion label Lanius is influenced by three factors: first, a style characterised by sophisticated designs and forms, secondly the use of certified raw materials and thirdly the guarantee that all garments have been produced under fair working conditions. Depending on the garment, one factor may get centre stage, but the other factors don’t move out of the focus – however, importance is always attached to outstanding quality both in terms of materials and finish. The label was founded in 1999 by Claudia Lanius, who works on all her ideas and designs in her Cologne studio; she has them developed by her team and then assembled by producers in several countries.
