Woven Bird's Nest, Reed Grass

Woven Bird's Nest, Reed Grass
- Natural Nesting Aid
- Made from untreated reed grass
- Woven by hand around a sturdy metal frame
General Information
A Home for Cavity Nesters
Preferred by many species of titmouse, as well as nuthatches, garden redstarts, house sparrows, and field sparrows: a closed nesting cavity with a small, circular entrance hole. Our bird nest comes from Bangladesh and is handcrafted there from naturally occurring, untreated reed grass. The stalks are tightly woven around a metal frame using traditional techniques, which provides additional stability. Good to know: The manufacturing facility is certified.
The reed grass bird nest will last for several seasons. (Over time, a gap or two may appear in the weave, but the birds can patch these up with building materials they gather themselves.) To ensure that the new residents feel completely safe and secure, hang the nest two to three meters high in a tree or shrub in your garden. Ideally, the entrance hole should face east or northeast, ensuring that the midday sun doesn’t overheat the nesting aid and that wind and rain (which usually come from the west) don’t stand a chance.
Note:
Certain manufacturing steps are carried out by hand. Slight dimensional and color deviations may therefore occur.
