This fluffy, soft, warming scarf is hand-woven in India from pure wool. The selvedges form the ends of the scarf and the scarf ends are finished with long fringes. A narrow woven horizontal stripe at each end of the scarf adds a subtle visual accent. Thanks to its length of 180 centimetres, the scarf can be worn using a wide variety of tying techniques.

Martine and Jacques Bijvoet are behind the Moismont label, which is based in Picardy, France. With their fashion, the two are committed to authenticity, traditions and values. It is therefore not surprising that their scarves and stoles, garments and bags combine French textile design and traditional Indian weaving. After all, the original scarf (which we understand to be worn more like a stole) once found its way from the Indian subcontinent to Europe. And this shawl culture is still very much alive in India today: Yarn dyeing, weaving and printing techniques are passed down from generation to generation there - in three carefully differentiated professions, each of which possesses and guards its own unique know-how.
