This is because merino wool fibers are very fine (between 16.5 and 24 microns), so they curl as soon as they come into contact with the skin, making them comfortable to wear. However, it is not only the fine fibers used that are special, but also the special finishing process. The wool is "boiled", which means that the knitted fabric is milled in a complex process under the influence of heat, moisture and friction. This makes it denser and therefore warmer. Nevertheless - and this is the difference between milled knitwear and milled fabrics - it remains breathable and very elastic. In this sweater, the finished knitted piece is milled first, which gives it a particularly characterful look. This is further enhanced by the outward-facing seams and dropped shoulders. Side inserts from the sleeve hems to the body hem ensure even more freedom of movement and conjure up a slimmer silhouette. Rib-knit cuffs finish the neck, sleeves and body hem.
