The dense, sturdy fabric has a subtle diamond pattern and the attached border is embroidered with a herringbone pattern. Further fine embroidery and narrow fringed edges on the dividing seams at the front and on the shoulder yoke create a slightly playful look. Depending on the garment, one factor may get centre stage, but the other factors don’t move out of the focus – however, importance is always attached to outstanding quality both in terms of materials and finish. The label was founded in 1999 by Claudia Lanius, who works on all her ideas and designs in her Cologne studio; she has them developed by her team and then assembled by producers in several countries.
