First-class Italian leather is used for the upper, sourced primarily from master tanneries in Tuscany. The lining and insoles are usually made of soft calfskin, vegetable-tanned in a solution of oak bark and mimosa. The outsoles are primarily made of natural rubber, and water-based adhesives are used.
