With their straight cut and wide legs, Marlene pants are synonymous with comfort and have long since become a classic in women’s fashion. Lanius crafts this style from a fabric featuring a distinctive pinstripe pattern. It is made from certified organic cotton, linen, and TENCEL™, making it gentle on the skin and ensuring the pants remain comfortable to wear even in the summer. A small amount of spandex further enhances comfort. The pants fasten with a plastic zipper and a stone button. They feature two pockets set into the forward-set side seams, while two faux back pockets serve purely decorative purposes.

The work of fashion label Lanius is influenced by three factors: first, a style characterised by sophisticated designs and forms, secondly the use of certified raw materials and thirdly the guarantee that all garments have been produced under fair working conditions. Depending on the garment, one factor may get centre stage, but the other factors don’t move out of the focus – however, importance is always attached to outstanding quality both in terms of materials and finish. The label was founded in 1999 by Claudia Lanius, who works on all her ideas and designs in her Cologne studio; she has them developed by her team and then assembled by producers in several countries.
