This slip-on tunic-style blouse impresses with its comfortable fit and the material used. Ecoalf makes it from pure linen, 20% of which comes from recycled materials. The lightweight yet durable fabric has a fine transparency and a smooth, firm feel. As linen can absorb a lot of moisture and quickly releases it back to the outside, it has a pleasantly cooling effect on the skin in summer temperatures. The blouse has a loose, straight fit with a deep V-neckline and a vertical dividing seam underneath. The body hem is slit at the side and the sleeve cuffs can be adjusted as required using a tie. A box pleat at the back ensures a good fit and even more freedom of movement.

Spanish designer Javier Goyeneche has found his own way to combat raw material waste. Since 2012, his label Ecoalf has been producing fashion made from recycled fibers. A key project is “Upcycling the Oceans,” founded in 2015, in which more than 4,000 fishermen and fisherwomen from Spain, Thailand, Greece, Italy, France, and Egypt now recover plastic waste from the ocean. This waste is transformed into yarn, which is then used to create clothing, shoes, and accessories. In addition, Ecoalf is also involved in recycling textile fibers, specifically cotton and wool—and finally, Ecoalf has also mastered the challenge of repurposing old car tires as outsoles for shoes.
