General Information

Summery linen blouse. With a beautiful color gradient

Hardly any other material is as comfortable to wear in summer as linen. This is because the fiber can absorb a lot of moisture and quickly releases it back to the outside, which has a cooling effect on the skin. This light and airy blouse is made from pure European linen. It is dyed by hand using an elaborate dip-dye technique and therefore has a gentle color gradient that is slightly different for each piece. The loose, boxy cut combined with the soft, flowing, slightly sheer fabric creates a flattering silhouette and a relaxed look. A deep V-neckline and side slits at the torso round off the design.

Forward-thinking. Slow fashion from Elemente Clemente

The Munich-based fashion label Elemente Clemente, founded in 2002 by Clemens Dörr, focuses on minimalist and urban fashion characterized by high-quality materials and superior craftsmanship. The collections are manufactured—from the fiber to the finished garment—at partner companies in Poland and Tunisia. The label’s primary goal is the thoughtful use of resources. Every single garment is crafted with great attention to detail—using natural fibers such as linen, hemp, virgin wool from certified organic livestock farming, and cotton from certified organic cultivation. Innovative fibers such as Lyocell (TENCEL™) and recycled materials are also used. Elemente Clemente stands for timeless, forward-thinking fashion—far removed from fleeting trends—that can be worn with a clear conscience.

European linen. Harvested using the field-drying method

The linen fibers used by Elemente Clemente come exclusively from Europe and are harvested there using the traditional field retting process. In this process, the cut and scutched stems of the flax plant are laid out in a field. During the retting process, which lasts several weeks, the pectins in the plant stems dissolve naturally with the help of microorganisms, and the solid woody components separate from the fibers. The separated components serve as natural fertilizer for the soil. The long fibers are then extracted through mechanical breaking, beating, and scutching. Field retting is a resource-efficient process that alternatives such as water retting or chemical retting cannot match. This is because these methods require large amounts of water and energy and place an additional burden on the environment with chemicals.

Note:

Dip-dye coloring: Slight color variations are characteristic. The colors may fade in strong sunlight.
