For this relaxed-fit blouse, Christiane Strobel uses a pleasantly light and smooth chambray made from skin-friendly, certified organic cotton. A small amount of spandex is also included, giving the fabric greater elasticity and shape retention. Chambray is characterized by a special weave in which the warp and weft threads are different colors, creating this vibrant heathered effect. The delicately shimmering mother-of-pearl buttons on the short button placket, the scalloped edge on the stand-up collar, and the elastic-gathered cuffs give the blouse a feminine, slightly playful look. The body hem is straight in the front and rounded in the back. Two pleats that spring open below the back shoulder yoke and small side slits ensure a comfortable and flattering fit.

After 25 years in the fast-paced fashion world, Christiane Strobel has been able to focus on her central concern again with the founding of her label: giving fashion back its value. "Clothing should not be limited to a single season, but should be worn and appreciated for many years." Accordingly, the Cologne-based label produces fair fashion from natural materials, which easily outlasts short-lived trends thanks to its quality and timeless design. The collections, which are created as part of a social project in Morocco, mainly use GOTS-certified cotton and wool, which are produced and processed with consideration for resources, the environment and the people involved in the production processes. Transparency is guaranteed along the entire supply chain. Christiane Strobel's trademark is the back of each item of clothing with hand-embroidered triangles, the so-called "darts", some of which have traditional Fassi-style embroidery. This makes each item, whether trousers, dress, T-shirt or jacket, unique with the "signature" of the embroiderer and her name.

The collections are produced by Sitaara Couture and Alnour Textiles, two cooperating social enterprises in Marrakech. They employ women with physical disabilities who would have little or no chance of finding a job in the regular labor market. The working conditions there are exemplary - from fair pay and individual health benefits to a pleasant and equal working environment in which the employees are challenged and supported in their personal and professional development. Not only are they trained, they also receive additional courses in reading, writing, basic arithmetic and IT basics. There is a daycare center and free meals - and the women are also provided with transportation between the workplace and their homes. In short: Christiane Strobel pursues a corporate culture that many other employees in the clothing industry can only dream of.
