This scarf brings the traditional art of hand weaving back to life. Moismont has it made from pure wool in India. The soft fabric features a multicolored check pattern and has a fine herringbone weave as well as an inimitable texture. Irregular, narrow fringed edges form the finish on both ends of the scarf.

Martine and Jacques Bijvoet are behind the Moismont label, which is based in Picardy, France. With their fashion, the two are committed to authenticity, traditions and values. It is therefore not surprising that their scarves and stoles, garments and bags combine French textile design and traditional Indian weaving. After all, the original scarf (which we understand to be worn more like a stole) once found its way from the Indian subcontinent to Europe. And this shawl culture is still very much alive in India today: Yarn dyeing, weaving and printing techniques are passed down from generation to generation there - in three carefully differentiated professions, each of which possesses and guards its own unique know-how.

Certain manufacturing steps are carried out by hand. Slight dimensional and color deviations may therefore occur.
