This light and soft scarf is traditionally woven by hand in India - from pure wool. The fabric has a striking, colorful check pattern and a fine, three-dimensional weave. Thanks to its length of 180 centimetres, it can be tied in many different ways. It is also so wide that it can not only be worn around the neck, but also over the shoulder. An irregular, narrow fringed edge forms the finish at the ends of the scarf.

Martine and Jacques Bijvoet are behind the Moismont label, which is based in Picardy, France. With their fashion, the two are committed to authenticity, traditions and values. It is therefore not surprising that their scarves and stoles, garments and bags combine French textile design and traditional Indian weaving. After all, the original scarf (which we understand to be worn more like a stole) once found its way from the Indian subcontinent to Europe. And this shawl culture is still very much alive in India today: Yarn dyeing, weaving and printing techniques are passed down from generation to generation there - in three carefully differentiated professions, each of which possesses and guards its own unique know-how.

Staining of light-coloured clothing, furniture and other objects is possible.
