This incredibly warming scarf impresses with its striking checked pattern and three-dimensional texture. It is hand-woven in India from wool and a small amount of polyamide, which makes the fabric more dimensionally stable and durable. The ends of the scarf are finished with long knotted fringes. Thanks to its length of 180 centimetres, the scarf can be worn in a wide variety of tying techniques.

Martine and Jacques Bijvoet are behind the Moismont label, which is based in Picardy, France. With their fashion, the two are committed to authenticity, traditions and values. It is therefore not surprising that their scarves and stoles, garments and bags combine French textile design and traditional Indian weaving. After all, the original scarf (which we understand to be worn more like a stole) once found its way from the Indian subcontinent to Europe. And this shawl culture is still very much alive in India today: Yarn dyeing, weaving and printing techniques are passed down from generation to generation there - in three carefully differentiated professions, each of which possesses and guards its own unique know-how.
