Rifò presents an unusual alternative to scarves with this soft turtleneck insert. It keeps your neck, shoulders and chest warm without being too bulky or - like a thick sweater - too warm indoors. The flat sections are smooth-knitted, while the turtleneck and the bottom edges are rib-knitted. The material is also unusual: the turtleneck insert is made from 95% recycled cashmere, while the remaining 5% is recycled wool.

The fashion label Rifò was founded in 2017 by Niccolò Cipriani as a start-up in Prato, Tuscany, with the mission of counteracting overproduction in the clothing industry: with timeless, circular fashion that is largely made from high-quality recycled fibers. Rifò is the Tuscan short form of an inflection of the Italian verb "rifare", which means "to renew" or "to do again", and this is precisely the principle of the Italian label: to create something new from something old. The recycled fibers are obtained from pre-consumer textiles (waste from the textile industry) on the one hand and post-consumer textiles (used clothing donations) on the other. These are either natural fibers or cellulose-based fibers. Rifò produces in the region in order to keep production routes as short as possible and to promote the local economy. The yarn and fabric suppliers that the fashion label works with are mainly located in the textile district of Prato.
