There are reasons to store your bike within your own four walls: a lack of parking space in front of the house, a basement that is difficult to access or a garage that is too far away. But while aesthetics are of secondary importance in these places, they play a very important role in the house or apartment. So it's a good thing that the Twin Sticks wall mount from Parax exists. It owes its existence to the most valid of all reasons, a deeply felt lack. In his search for an adequate, aesthetically pleasing mount for his bike in his shared flat, Torben Siegert was unable to find one, so he and his long-time friend Frido Förster developed such a wall mount themselves. Soon afterwards, they founded their own company, Parax, in Bönen on the eastern edge of the Ruhr region and began production.

Adapts to your bike, not the other way around

The Twin Sticks wall mount is impressive in terms of materiality, functionality and aesthetics. The two eponymous "sticks" are made of solid, waxed oak wood. They come with integrated screws; foam rubber wall protectors and large washers are also included. The recesses in which the top tube of the bike rests are covered with pieces of bicycle inner tube - a detail that is as useful as it is frame-friendly. As you are free to choose the mounting points for the two sticks, they can be fitted to fit your bike perfectly - regardless of whether it has a straight or sloping top tube or whether it is a men's or women's bike. There are no restrictions on the diameter of the top tube, but for design reasons the Twin Sticks only work with handlebar widths of up to 58 centimetres. There is also another small restriction: The maximum load of the Twin Sticks (with a sufficiently stable wall) is 20 kilograms. The wall mount is therefore not suitable for very heavy e-bikes.
