In contrast with their thermoplastic successors the plastics from the Duroplast family display a kind of "comeliness". This could be attributed to the fact that the "earthy" material can only be processed in a mold, making it immune to the whims of self-assured designers and the technological impoverishment of cheap knock-offs. Be that as it may, our contention of the higher aesthetic aspirations of Duroplast is only confirmed by these simple kitchen utensils.
Developed in 1935 the Bakelite® like melamine resin became a much used material for kitchen utensils because of its extreme hardness, high thermal stability and food grade. Our melamine goods are from WACA in Westphalia, processor of Duroplast since 1921.

The material is not suitable for the microwave. It should not be exposed to temperatures above 70°C. It is also unsuitable for storing acidic foods. If there are visible signs of use, please replace the product.
