The actual toothpick consists of an extremely thin sheet of 925 silver only 0.5 mm thick. It is so thin and flexible that it can get into almost any space in between. Due to its softness, it cannot damage the sensitive tooth enamel. To ensure that the fine blade is well protected even when not in use or on the go, it is slid into the 2 mm thick hollow steel handle. This allows you to carry the toothpick in your pocket or purse at all times. When needed, it is then simply put back on the handle.
