Spearmint: Toothpaste with fresh mint flavor, without fluoride

Coconut oil has many good properties: it is said to help prevent inflammation and has an antibacterial effect, which is why many people use it for oil pulling, for example. Thanks to its nourishing properties, it is a common ingredient in skin creams, shampoos and hair conditioners and is often used as an alternative to palm oil in the production of soaps. So what could be more natural than making a toothpaste from coconut oil? Niyok therefore uses coconut oil as the basis for its coconut toothpaste. Mild cleaning agents made from calcium carbonate clean the tooth surfaces thoroughly and gently. Calcium carbonate also remineralizes the teeth. Niyok has also added some flavor to the toothpaste: Natural aromas and essential oils provide the usual freshness. For those who like it a little more aromatic, we recommend our favorite with lemongrass and ginger. The dosage corresponds to that of standard toothpastes: a pea-sized amount - or even a little more - is sufficient. Please just note that the toothpaste does not foam as much as you may be used to from other toothpastes.

Their body care products contain only the ingredients necessary for the purpose and are also vegan and natural cosmetics certified. But founders Carlo Hanuszkiewicz and John Peitschner go one step further than usual because transparency is just as important to them. That's why they break down the so-called INCI list, which lists all the ingredients in a product by their technical name, on the back of the packaging and translate the names with a brief explanation. For them, this also means transparency: not only seeing what's in it, but also understanding it. So their motto might as well be: minimum formulation, maximum transparency.
It goes without saying that the packaging is sustainable and, with a few exceptions, no plastic is used. The toothpaste tubes, for example, are made of 50% chalk and 50% polyethylene. As a result, the walls of the chalk tubes are only half as thin as those of conventional plastic tubes. The climate-neutral products are produced in Germany using green electricity, and the raw materials come from Europe wherever possible. Parabens, silicones and palm oil are of course taboo.
