Tomami® Umami adds spice and depth of flavor with mild acidity. It is particularly recommended for fish, meat and vegetable soups, steamed fish, rice and potato dishes. In cold dishes, it is suitable for salad dressings, spreads and gazpacho.

Tomami® is a seasoning extract with just one ingredient: the tomato. To produce it, the fully ripe fruit is juiced and the solids and pulp are filtered out. This juice is gently reduced to a concentrated essence without any additives, which intensifies the remaining flavors. Tomami® is available in a fruity and a spicy version. Both variants are based on the sensory realization that tomatoes contain both fruity and savoury components, as we notice in everyday life that they are neither clearly vegetables nor clearly fruit. Tomatoes also bring depth of flavor, fullness of mouthfeel and density of taste - sensations of the sense of taste that are described today with the terms "umami" and "kokumi". Tomami® is used to season and refine cooked dishes and cold dishes, as well as for seasoning at the table. Due to its intense flavor, it can be used very sparingly.
