The “Schachtelgeschichte” tea light holders artfully translate artisanal craftsmanship into a contemporary design. In a Black Forest workshop, the walnut wood is cut to the millimeter using a laser cutter. It is thanks to this precision that the forest-themed figures have such exceptionally clean edges. The grooves into which the forest figures are inserted are milled just as precisely into the walnut base plate—the arrangement of the individual figures can be varied.

The light, shadows, and reflections cast by a tea light placed in the center of each base plate breathe atmospheric life into the scene—a small but exquisite theater that, when folded up into the metal tin, can be taken anywhere (and given as a gift). A small booklet telling the story behind the scene is also included with the tea light holders.
