What began with a drinking bottle has developed over ten years into a broad repertoire of containers for transporting food, made without aluminum and bisphenol-A (BPA), but from tasteless and odorless stainless steel. Klean Kanteen® only uses 18/8 stainless steel, and this in a thicker thickness, which makes Klean Kanteen® products significantly more robust than many other stainless steel containers. They can therefore withstand a lot, but are still light enough for use on the go. The threads are also largely made of stainless steel. This contributes to the longevity of the containers. The bottle caps are fitted with silicone seals, which are also used in medical technology.

To ensure that the containers can be used for a long time, they must also be easy to clean. Klean Kanteen® therefore manufactures them with rounded "corners" and smooth, wide threads. On the inside, the surface is electropolished and so smooth that dirt cannot stick easily. And if something does dry on the inside, the wide openings make it easy to reach.
