The soft-grain leather boasts wonderful suppleness—yet this vegetable-tanned cowhide is just as durable and strong as it is supple. At the same time, soft-grain leather openly and honestly reveals its natural grain structure, which is also what gives the leather’s surface its pleasant texture. And, of course, over time and with use, the leather will develop its characteristic beautiful patina, vividly telling the story of your life.

Sturdy brass-colored metal hardware adds a striking accent to the bag’s design, which can lend your outfit a sporty or elegant touch, depending on how you style it. The wide carrying strap, made of sturdy cotton fabric, is infinitely adjustable, allowing you to choose whether you’d like to wear the bag on your hip, over your shoulder, or crossbody. Inside, the bag is lined with the light-and-dark-striped twill made from recycled pure cotton that is characteristic of O My Bag. Four leather-trimmed pockets and an integrated zippered compartment neatly hold small items and cards for those who like to stay organized.

Support trade, not aid. Under this motto, Paulien Wesselink founded her label O My Bag to produce bags with respect for the environment and people. The design is created at the company headquarters in Amsterdam, while production takes place in Kolkata, India - a conscious decision to offer local producers and their families fair wages and access to the global market.

The bags from O My Bag are characterized by a clear, functional style that is timelessly contemporary and corresponds to the durability of the material from which they are made: high-quality, vegetable-tanned leather. For Paulien Wesselink, leather is still a sensible option due to its low environmental impact, provided that it is tanned chrome-free and dyed with natural raw materials. GOTS-certified cotton is also used, but the label is also open to innovative materials: since 2021, O My Bag has been making bags and wallets from AppleSkin™, a vegan leather alternative.
