Terralene® is an innovative thermoplastic made entirely from renewable materials. There is no limitation to process the novelty like conventional thermoplastics, for example, in injection moulding. In other respects, Terralene® has mechanical and thermal properties similar to those of wood. Only in terms of feel and appearance does Terralene® not quite match the natural material. However, the visible wood grain and the slightly woody smell of the material remind of its natural basis. You may consider products made from Terralene® food-safe, water-resistant and thermostable. The German inventors are processing both – the material and the products – in Germany.
