Forged by Sneeboer in the Netherlands: This hand weeder with a sharpened stainless steel blade has a narrow blade that can be set with pinpoint accuracy, allowing the soil to be torn up and loosened at the same time. The triangular blade shape is also familiar from the Japanese sickle hoe. Our tip: You can also use the weeding hoe to undercut shallow-rooted weeds such as chickweed and French weed, thus completing two tasks in one go. The weeding hoe is also perfect for creating seed rows or (deeper) seed furrows, especially in raised beds. The handle, which is made of the "swinging" ash wood we prefer for tool handles, provides support for all of these tasks.

For over 100 years, the family of West Frisian blacksmith Jaap Sneeboer has been supplying their Dutch fellow citizens, who are known to be constantly busy with farming, dyke construction and horticulture, with the tools they need. Sneeboer uses two different stainless steels for his traditional Frisian horticultural tools in stainless steel: a higher-alloyed, tougher one for the springs and spouts of the handle holder and a lower-alloyed, more forgeable one for the actual functional parts. The individual structural elements are welded together and then ground and polished. All operations are carried out by hand.
