To this end, two layers of supple, vegetable-tanned cowhide are sewn together in such a way that they show their smooth leather side on the outside and inside and offer the contents - whether smartphone, banknotes or papers - the strong protection typical of the material. A leather snap fastener ensures that neither cell phone nor papers (or banknotes) are lost. A tip: The vertical format of the contents should be at least two-thirds the height of the pouch so that the latch can "grip". On the back, four card slots are also carefully stitched to the cover. Wanny Di Filippo, a true Florentine original who is fashionably committed to "cheerful anarchy", founded Il Bisonte in Pontassieve in 1970. Wanny Di Filippo has now retired from the business, but his philosophy lives on at Il Bisonte. Production facilities and supply chains are limited to a radius of 30 kilometers around Florence. The high-quality, vegetable-tanned leather, fine fabrics and metal accessories that Il Bisonte uses are therefore produced exclusively in Tuscany.
