Music and sound can work wonders - calming and relaxing, cheering you up or boosting your mood. And so they have a firm place in many areas, whether in a ritual-religious context, in Chinese Feng Shui or in modern music therapy, in order to bring people into harmony with themselves and the world. In our western world, singing bowls are particularly popular. They help us to calm down more easily at the start of a meditation session. And after a yoga session, we allow the soft, harmonious sound of a gently struck bowl to gently bring us out of the silence in Shavasana. But it's not just the sounds, the vibration in the material itself can also have a balancing or stimulating effect. In a singing bowl massage, for example, bowls of different pitches are placed on the body and struck, which many people find extremely pleasant. Or you can strike the bowl and simply hold it in your hand.

Our singing bowls come from Nepal, where they are traditionally hand-cast from a brass alloy and hammered with great care until they produce a clean, clear sound that is unusually long-lasting for bowls of this size. The tone is individual in each case, but tends to be higher in the smaller bowl and slightly lower in the larger one. A wooden mallet and a felt pad are included.
