This reversible quilt is perfect for a little siesta and warm nights. Unlike many other quilts and classic quilts, it’s made entirely of cotton: even the filling is cotton. To keep it from shifting, the quilt is stitched along the stripes, which also gives it its quilt-like character. The striped pattern itself bears the unmistakable signature of Tarta Gelatina—and here, it’s doubled: one side features green-and-natural-colored stripes with a blue border, while the other side has light blue stripes on a natural-colored background and a border in bold red. This way, you can flip the blanket to suit your mood and create different accents with each color change.

Whether for the sofa or as a bedspread—this cotton quilt provides a comfortable sleeping environment even during the warmer months. The cover is supple, soft, and gentle on the skin; the cotton filling is breathable and can absorb a lot of moisture and wick it away from the body. An additional advantage of cotton: You can wash the quilt in the washing machine (delicate cycle) at up to 30 °C. However, as is customary in the Mediterranean region, we recommend using a sheet or top sheet under the quilt if you’re using it as a bedspread.
