These cotton nets come from Caen in Normandy. The manufacturer has specialized in the production of nets of all kinds since 1860 - and not by chance, as the region's proximity to the sea has always meant that it has a tradition of producing nets for fishing and shellfish farming. He now also produces nets for food, hunting and shipbuilding, as well as bird protection nets, sports nets and hammocks. These shopping nets are a special cotton knitted fabric that is produced on so-called Raschel machines.
