The ingenious folding and scaling technique (which can only be done by hand) allows you to see the marking columns of the previous and following weeks of a quarter when looking at the current week. It is a system that has been implemented here alone to realize extremely ambitious methodical goals in a very small space: forward-looking time planning on the one hand, completion control of necessary follow-up work, resubmissions, etc. on the other. However - how useful the system ultimately becomes also depends on the resourcefulness in defining meaningful and "speaking" marking abbreviations and on the discipline in their use.

Each week has two wide columns - there are four rows per day for recording activities and appointments. There is also a marking column for each of these four rows, which can be assigned self-defined abbreviations (e.g. priority, meeting, trip, done, rework).
