Among connoisseurs, Haws is one of the most famous manufacturers of classic English (and above all watering) garden tools. The first watering cans were manufactured there in 1880. Typical of Haws models is the raised filler opening, which prevents water from overflowing when watering. The slightly curved, narrow watering can without a spray is perfect for watering houseplants in pots. As a metal fabricator, the manufacturer is of course based in the West Midlands, the old "iron" region around Birmingham.
