This pumpkin seed oil is one of the products for which Georg Thalhammer processes pumpkins that would otherwise have been thrown away. To produce it, the large, hull-less seeds of the oil pumpkin are peeled out, traditionally cleaned, gently roasted at 70°C and then pressed. It takes the seeds from around ten pumpkins to make one bottle of oil. Thalhammer's pumpkin seed oil has an exceptionally intense and nutty flavor. It is ideal for refining soups (not just pumpkin soups) and sauces, it seasons salads, it tastes good as a dip with fresh bread and it is also worth combining it with bourbon vanilla ice cream. And last but not least: The oil is certified organic, as the pumpkins come from controlled organic cultivation.

Georg Thalhammer's delicatessen production is based in Steinfeld in Lower Franconia. Delicious preparations in organic quality are created there - in close cooperation with the producers and with great respect for nature. The basis for this is often pumpkins that do not meet the commercial standard. This saves them from being thrown away. The products themselves are innovative and often prepared with unusual combinations of ingredients. If oils are used, they are exclusively native. Flavorings or synthetic additives are not used at all and sugar is used sparingly.
