A Refreshing Summer Drink.
With its unique dry yet fruity taste, rhubarb spritzer has been for a few years now the summer long drink in the Rhine area. The ideal base for this drink is the strong rhubarb nectar that we offer here – 70% fruit juice, pressed from the red-stalked Sutton and Frambozen varieties, which yield less juice than their green-stalked relatives – but are a good deal milder and less acid. The home of these red varieties is the Cologne-Bonn lowland area.
Fruit juices from the Lower Rhine
Founded in 1917 as the Rheinische Apfelkrautfabrik, Kelterei van Nahmen has been pressing fruit juices since 1934 - in the best artisan tradition. The fruit used for mashing still comes from the region today.
