The fiberglass wick in the Schmelzfeuer® ceramic candle is designed for long-term use and does not need to be replaced under normal conditions. However, depending on the quality of the wax used, it may accumulate soot to a greater or lesser extent, causing the wick fibers to stick together and impairing the burning process. This soot can be removed as described in the instruction manual. In the event that the wick does need to be replaced, we offer this three-piece replacement wick. To install it, the melting crucible must be heated until the old wick can be pulled out. The new wick can then be inserted and activated by pouring liquid wax over it.
