The savonette is a pocket watch in which the cover glass is protected by a hinged lid. Savonettes can be artistically designed, but can also come across as clear, practical watches for everyday use. The latter is the case with this savonette from Aerowatch. Its case is made of stainless steel, which is partly polished and partly brushed (on the lid). The inside of the lid features the so-called circular cut, in which small, overlapping circles create an aesthetically pleasing surface. The white silver-plated dial features Roman numerals, with the date display at 6 o'clock. The hour and minute hands are designed as Breguet hands: they have an elegant, slender shape with a characteristic circular recess. The large central second hand is understated and simple. Finally, the Swiss quartz movement ensures smooth running and a correspondingly accurate time display.

Aerowatch, based in Saignelégier in the Swiss Jura, is a family business that has been producing quality watches continuously since 1910.
