Outdoor gas stove

Outdoor gas stove
General Information
The Trangia® storm stove. For a whole outdoor life
Legendary: this gas stove has been produced almost unchanged since 1951. We offer it here in the large version for three to four people: with two cooking pots, a tongs handle and a pan that also serves as a lid when everything is stacked inside each other ready for transportation. An included strap keeps the equipment compactly together (Ø 22 × H 10 cm) so that the 1,215 gram gas stove can be easily stowed away.
Lightweight and scratch-resistant: Doussal 2.0™
The two cooking pots are special in this version: they are made from Duossal 2.0™. A 0.3 millimetre thick stainless steel layer and a 0.5 millimetre thick aluminum layer are pressed together under high pressure. Pots made from Duossal 2.0™ thus combine the advantages of aluminum (high thermal conductivity, low weight) on the outside with those of stainless steel (extremely robust and scratch-resistant) on the inside. The heart of the cooking system, the gas burner, sits protected from the wind in the two-part aluminum housing, which is secured with a bayonet lock. Perforations in the base ensure air supply during cooking. The Trangia® gas stove is operated with standard gas cartridges, a supply hose with adapter is included. A stove insert (also known as an espresso star) is available separately for small pots or an espresso maker, which provides a stable base for small vessels such as an espresso maker. You can also find this in our range.
Made in Sverige. Trangia® outdoor cooking systems
It comes as no surprise that one of the leading manufacturers of outdoor stoves is based in Sweden. The country not only impresses with its many islands, archipelago and around 100,000 lakes, but now also more than 5,000 nature reserves - a sign of the Swedish people's love of nature. So it is only logical that Sweden is ahead when it comes to outdoor equipment. Trangia® is one of the veterans in this sector. Outdoor stoves have been manufactured in Trångsviken in northern Sweden since 1925, with the same high standards of function and durability as in the early days.
Passing on instead of throwing away
It all began with cooking pots for the household, originally manufactured by John E. Jonsson and his father-in-law. The Swedish vacation reform of 1938 meant that Swedes had more free time - and the demand for camping equipment rose sharply. With an affinity for technology and design, John developed outdoor stoves and launched the first Trangia® stove in 1951: the legendary storm stove, a complete cooking system with burner, pot and windbreak. For greater efficiency and ease of use, it was initially designed for use with liquid fuel. Other models as well as gas stoves and accessories followed. Quality, durability and repairability are the top priorities in design and manufacture. This means that the gas stoves can not only be used for a long time, but can also be passed on to the next generation. Spare parts for all models are still available today.
Material and function
Functionality stands and falls with the design and the material used. Trangia® stoves are made of a lightweight aluminum alloy, for which up to 70 percent recycled aluminum is used. The surfaces are tempered differently depending on the area of use. One special feature is Duossal 2.0™ - a superlaminate of aluminum and stainless steel. Both layers are pressed together under high pressure. Aluminum on the outside ensures excellent heat conductivity, while the stainless steel on the inside makes the cookware scratch-resistant and easy to clean.
