The fruit of the physalis plant, also known as the Andean berry, tastes wonderfully tart, sweet and fruity. Here they are combined with dark dark chocolate. For this product, WeltPartner is working with the organization Candela, which has more than 30 years of experience in working with small communities and coordinating value chains, but also dedicates its work to biodiversity and thoughtful consumption in Peru and around the world. The physalis berries come from the Peruvian Andes, more precisely from the Cajamarca region. They are harvested there by around 125 people under the umbrella of the producer organization Villa Andina. The ingredients for the chocolate come from Alter Trade in the Philippines and El Naranjillo in Peru, among others.
