Assam tea from the region of the same name in north-east India thrives on fertile soils and the subtropical climate offers the tea plants ideal growing conditions. Thanks to its strong taste, it is also the basis of the East Frisian tea, which is very popular in northern Germany. Assam tea tastes good in many preparations, but is preferably enjoyed pure or with milk. We offer a TGFOP1 2nd Flush Sonipur. The abbreviation TGFOP1 stands for Tippy Golden Flowery Orange Pekoe. Tippy means that the tea leaves contain golden tips, Golden Flowery indicates that the tea leaves are golden in color and show floral flavors, Orange Pekoe is a designation for the unbroken leaves that come from the upper bud and the first two leaves of the tea plant. Finally, the 1 indicates that this is the first quality within this classification. 2nd Flush refers to the second harvest period, which takes place in summer. Tea from this harvest has a richer, fuller flavor than tea from the first harvest. Sonipur is the name of the region of origin in the state of Assam. Storage and preparation instructions:

Pour hot water at 100 °C over the tea and leave to infuse for 3-4 minutes, depending on the desired intensity. Store at max. 20 °C and dry.
