The artichokes grown on the slopes of the Gargano and harvested by hand are clearly the protagonists of this cream. They are processed cold to preserve the unique and genuine taste of the fresh ingredient. Carefully seasoned with parsley, salt and garlic, the certified organic cream is characterized by a harmonious, mildly spicy taste and a pleasant consistency. The artichoke cream tastes particularly good on pizza and bruschetta, but it is also worth trying with cold cuts and cream cheese.

Orto is Italian for garden. A fitting name for the produce produced and marketed by the Passalaqua family. Cauliflower, broccoli, fennel, celery and much more grow and thrive on the extensive fields of the cooperative, which is divided into several farms in northern Apulia. The 300 hectares of open land have been cultivated organically since 1999 - with eleven permanent employees and 50-150 seasonal workers, half of whom come from the region. The sparing drip irrigation is done with water from the farm's own Brunnen. Continuous measurement of soil moisture ensures that irrigation is only carried out when it is really necessary. Around seven hectares are completely excluded from production. Nature is allowed to grow as it pleases on this "biodiversity island": a paradise for insects, birds and small animals.
