Juliane Eller has been running her parents' winery in Alsheim, Rheinhessen, as owner and cellar master since 2013. She does this with a clear vision. First of all, she streamlined the number of grape varieties grown from 35 to five, the yield of which is deliberately reduced over the course of the wine year. During the harvest, which is done exclusively by hand, only absolutely healthy grapes are harvested and processed. The result is wines of very high quality. However, other aspects are also important to Juliane Eller: the promotion of biodiversity in the vineyard, the preservation and promotion of the local cultural landscape, the protection of natural resources by not using more resources than can grow back through suitable measures on site and, last but not least, social commitment. To document this, it has joined the industry association Fair and Green.
