At the beginning of the 20th century, balloon caps became popular in Europe and North America - among others among newsboys, which earned them the name newsboy cap in English-speaking countries. Diefenthal produces a cap in this style from genuine Harris Tweed, the famous hand-woven virgin wool fabric from the Outer Hebrides islands of Harris, Lewis, Uist and Barra. Full of character, the fabric features a distinctive herringbone pattern.

Pia Diefenthal, a hatter in the fourth generation, combines her expertise and passion with the long-standing family tradition. The result is well-thought-out hats and caps, including headwear classics – some of them made from surprising materials. Eventually, Diefenthal finds inspiration in the metropolises of the world.
