Armor lux crafts this casual maritime striped shirt from a rather heavy jersey. The breathable and skin-friendly fabric is made of pure, certified organic cotton. The shirt has a straight cut. The neckline is edged with a distinctive, contrasting ribbed trim; at the sleeves and body, the fabric is folded over and secured with flatlock seams.

“Armor” is the Breton word for “sea,” and “lux” can surely only refer to the light on the coast. To this day, many of the garments produced by Armor lux retain a maritime character—sweaters and shirts, dresses, pants, hats, beanies, and scarves. Founded in Quimper in the late 1930s by a Swiss man, the company combines simple, comfortable cuts and classic colors with high-quality materials and craftsmanship.
