This casual slip-on shirt has the shape of a classic vareuse, which literally means shirt blouse, but also refers to the traditional fisherman's shirt. In keeping with its origins in the world of work, the shirt is simple and functional - with an insert, a slit and a fold-down collar. Traditionally, fishermen's shirts have no protruding buttons so that they don't get caught anywhere while working. This is also the case here: The button, which closes the slit at the neckline together with a loop, is on the inside; the breast pocket is also on the inside. In the past, shirts like this were cut from scraps of canvas, which would be unreasonably heavy by today's standards. Armor lux makes this slip-on shirt from washed linen, which adds the right Used look to the casual cut.

“Armor” is the Breton word for “sea,” and “lux” can only refer to the light on the coast. To this day, many of the garments produced by Armor lux retain a maritime character—sweaters and shirts, dresses, pants, hats, caps, and scarves.
